Being Eaten By A Wolf - A Story of Initiation and Growth

Being Eaten By A Wolf - A Story of Initiation and Growth

“You know, my dear, it isn't safe for a little girl to walk through these woods alone.” The Wolf

Every good story needs the SHEro to face an ordeal, something where she is given the chance to overcome her fear, or ‘die’. No matter the outcome, the SHEro will be forever changed.

You’re probably familiar with the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

A helpful granddaughter is skipping through the forest to take her poorly Grandma some cake and wine, when she strays from the path and encounters a wolf.

Sherlock isn't the hero, Watson is

Sherlock isn't the hero, Watson is

‘I’m… I’m nobody. I’m with him’ – John Watson

I love the BBC drama Sherlock, it’s about the only TV show that I actually make a point of watching and I’m really looking forward to the next series.

As I’ve watched the series, I realise that even though the show is based on the character Sherlock, and he is amazingly clever, smart and witty, he’s not actually the hero of the show, Watson is.

How to Use the SHEro Signature Blend Loose Incense with Charcoal Discs

How to Use the SHEro Signature Blend Loose Incense with Charcoal Discs

After some pretty surreal experiences over the weekend, I was reminded to clear the energy of my home.

What better incense to use than The SHEro Signature blend.

It contains: Frankincense, Rosemary, White Sandalwood, Myrrh, and my personal favourite: Benzoin.

I wish the screen was scratch and sniff as it's delicious! Warming, relaxing, you can literally feel stress melting away.

I like to use charcoal discs. Over the years, I've had many people ask me how to use them.

Often making the same mistake I made when I first started using them - and that is not waiting long enough before adding the incense.

Yes I am a little impatient, and I would add the loose incense before the charcoal disc went grey.

Using Charcoal discs

Simply:

  1. Place the charcoal disc in a suitable, fire-proof, container

  2. Light the disc - ideally with a long match or something with a long reach. Place the flame on the outer edge of the disc. If using matches, it can take several goes to get it lit.
You'll know that it's lit, as it will start to spark slightly.

  3. Wait about 5 mins for the disc to go grey. It will start to glow red, and then gradually work inwards, until the disc goes grey.

  4. Add your loose incense to the charcoal - not too much as the charcoal needs to breathe to be able to burn.

  5. Continue to add more incense for as long as you like.

On this occasion, as my incense was in a mini-cauldron, I then wafted it around the house - and guess what?
Everything felt lighter!

Sometimes it's easy to forget the obvious sometimes...

A Ritual For the Full Moon - A time to release and let go, so you can make the space for the magic to happen

A Ritual For the Full Moon - A time to release and let go, so you can make the space for the magic to happen

The full moon is the perfect time to release what no longer serves you!

During this time you can add power to your intentions to release by completing a simple ceremony/ritual.

Completing a ritual creates the feeling that something special is happening, it gives magical intention to your wishes. It gets the power of the universe behind creating your deepest desires and a little extra help never went amiss…

Here’s an outline of one I like to do.

Is gratitude stopping your flow of abundance?

Is gratitude stopping your flow of abundance?

I seem to be on a bit of a 'turn things on their head' phase...

First burning vision boards, and now ditching gratitude!?!

So here's why I stopped being grateful (kind of...)

Why I Burnt My Vision Board

Why I Burnt My Vision Board

For as long as I can remember, and we're talking decades, I've created vision boards, I've encouraged others to do the same.

They're fun to do, cutting out inspiring pictures and quotes, decorating them with glitter and stickers, playing with scissors and glue, what's not to love?

But today I burnt my vision board. And I won't be making any more.

What I learnt by wrinkling my nose up at something

What I learnt by wrinkling my nose up at something

Pay attention to what you hate or makes you physically go yuck.

In my Activated SHEro Oracle deck there was just one mandala that I really didn't like.

Every time I saw it, I physically wrinkled my nose up at it!

I asked other people what they thought of it and they really liked it, in fact it was one persons favourite card - okay so this was just me, so it stayed.

I knew that the things in life that I resisted often had the biggest areas of growth for me, you may remember me talking about journalling... So what message did this card have for me?

The Layers of a SHEro

The Layers of a SHEro

Are you ready to reveal more of who you are?

My clients often say to me that following The SHEro's Journey is like peeling an onion.

They remove a layer of old worn out patterns of behaviour and limiting beliefs to reveal a bit more of the truth of who they are.

And yes, sometimes like peeling onions, there's tears. Tears of release, sadness, relief and joy.
